This well-priced champagne is sourced from a highly respected Champagne House in the little village of Les Riceys in the Aube region. Famous for Pinot Noir, this supplier normally makes a Blanc de Noirs but has good contacts with the Chardonnay growers in the more northerly Cte des Blancs. For this prestige cuve, 20% Chardonnay wine is added to the Pinot Noir before the second fermentation takes place in the bottle. This results in a fresh, elegant style with a racy, lingering finish.
