Welcome to "The Machiavelli Boardgame Site" !  This site contains rules, scenarios, variants and pbem information primarily about the Machiavelli boardgame, but also about some other games.  If you are looking for information about the medieval florentine civil servant and writer / philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli this is not the place to look.

The main content of the site is the following material:

• 39 variant and scenario setups for the Avalon Hill Machiavelli boardgame.
• The latest clarified rules for Machiavelli (v. 3.1b, may 24th, 2009). Primarily
  used for play on the automated software adjudicators, but also a great resource
  for face to face play. Essentially a complete rewrite of the rules but you still
  need a copy of the Battleline or Avalon Hill Machiavelli game for a complete
  description of the game mechanics.
• If you want to play sign up on the Machiavelli game queue.
• n-Judge (automated e-mail play) information and support files and the MapIt
  mapper (source, windows) for rendering of nJudge output.
• Articles relating to Machiavelli strategy, variant design and diplomacy.
• Various playing aids, like empty maps, plague statistics and more

A note on downloading: some files have the suffix .txt as this web server defaults all files with unknown suffixes to .html, which makes the text illegible.  If you want to use those files, which are recognized by multiple suffixes, remove the .txt.
