Vopnafjörður

I am such a good housewife! I've been cooking, baking and wrapped the christmasgifts this week.

It's kind of fun.. even if it ends up in broken back, swollen legs and contractions.

So OF COURSE I find the time to lay in the sofa and eat chocolate. I deserve it.

Yes, I am growing... I feel very un-pretty and big... it's worst at night when the belly is HUUUUGE and rock-hard.

Kind of good, sometimes, because it makes it harder to reach for the chocolate.

But more difficult to take the socks off. Thank God for Nenni.

I'm in week 35 now, only 41 days left to giving birth!YIKES!

Well, gotta go and check on my swedish x-mas special - Janssons Frestelse.

Life goes on. I work, I grow and I sleep. A lot.

I'm in week 32 or 33 now and still going strong... so is the baby. Still going strong. Now you can SEE the belly moving when she is kicking.

Look at my belly to the right.

Isn´t it just tiny? And can you believe it's 7 weeks left? I feel like I'm just waiting for the baby to come out, because I don't want to get much bigger. I'm so comfortable like this. Kind of... it takes time to get out of the car, or the sofa. But I live.

Otherwise? Not much going on. Too lazy to do anything.

Vopnafjörður

Ooooh, I'm in a creative mood today...

Last night I took some new belly-pictures as you can see to the right. I'm now a month "pregnantier" so I'm in week 30. "Only" 10 weeks left until labour. And you have to agree I'm pretty good wirh flirting with the camera!

The baby has been pretty calm these last days. She is still moving and I believe I could feel that she had the hickups yesterday. It was a rythmic movement but not so intense as the kicking. She's just practicing on using her body and as her mom, she can't do two things (kicking and swollowing water) at the same time.

A few days ago my darling told me I'm a freak of machines. A refused to believe him! I don't care about earthly things!

Then I discovered it myself:

  • I have loving and caring relationship wih my computer,
  • I actually dreamt a very detailed dream about a new ass-expensive kitchen (and I still think about this kitchen),
  • I WANT A BRAND NEW, EXPENSIVE, COOL JEEP
  • and last night I was going to order a cheap headset, but ended up bying a brand new IP-phone for my Skype-connection (4 times as expensive).

I wish I was rich.

See ya'll!

Ragnhild plopped out a baby-boy! And my friend Kia in Sweden plopped out a baby-girl.

What has the world come to? Babies, babies, babies, wherever I turn...

My own little baby is desperatly trying to kick her way out of the belly. The other morning I woke up because I think she had a party for one... maybe she just turned around or something. But she sure is a wild one.

And we have snow. It's cold. It was around - 8 degrees today... can't see the thermometer right now since it's covered in snow and ice.

The car got snowed in (before my father-in.-law dug it out) and the roads have been closed for a day or two.

You gotta love Iceland.

Otherwise? Life goes on. Belly is growing. Christmas is getting closer. I was thinking about being the perfect housewife and decorate our appartement and make it super-christmassy.

But nope, don't have the energy (or the finances). I think a fake-tree in normal size and some stars and lights here and there will do.

Se ya'll later.

I have internet!!! At home!!! I feel so grown up and I feel so happy! Life is much easier and I sit here - in front of the computer - for hours and hours. I was so annoyed yesterday when I realized I had missed to hang the laundry, forgot to do the dishes and I really had to go to bed.
I then realized I had been in front of the computer for 8 hours! With an hour break of cooking and eating... hehe...

To the right you will see the gorgeous swedish meatball 2 weeks ago. ME (in week 26). I'm now in week 28 (or 29) and I feel it does get closer and closer to the actual labour.
Scary thought...

Anyways, movienight - "Brokeback Mountain" tonight. And hopefully some chocolate...

I have a brand new, beautiful, quick computer in my home now. It´s the best! Too bad we have to wait another 2 weeks until the technicians come with a router for us so we can get internet as well.

Then, my dear, then ! you will see pictures!

I have about a million pictures on cd´s at home and I'm now loading them in to the computer and work with them!

Screw knitting. Photographs are much more fun to play with!

Today - 102 days until the kung-fu child comes out.

Yes, yes, I know, give or take 2 weeks, but at least it´s not 3000 days left.

I feel good and my week of house-arrest did wonders with me.

Now I only work 50% and take things much more slowly. No stress here...

Well, have to write some e-mail and surf the net for a while.

See ya´ll!

And she is back! The great, big, pregnant woman!

I think this is the longest break I´ve had since I started this damn website.

Things will change since I´m not going to work as much as before...

YES, I am big and YES I´m pregnant. My baby is a little pissed off that I work to much with the children in Kindergarten, so it threatened to come out early, I think. The doctor and my midwife put me in house-arrest (they call it resting) for a week...

And on my "LAZY DAY" number 1, I woke up at 6:30, went swimming (or rather floating, cause it´s more relaxing), watched Martha Stewart, and have now been in front of the computer for 3 hours. And Yes, of course I had a lovely lunch at my parents in law´s house.

Where the computer is, there is Anna, and where Anna is, there is food.

Otherwise? Me and Nenni have moved into a HUGE appartement!!!

My favourite things about Þverholt 14:

* There is NOT a smell of old, rusty, water-damaged house anymore.

* 2 spare bedrooms so I can finally find space for an ironing-board.

* We have our own washing machine!! Just that could make me go to church again.

* The colors on the walls are actually the same in the rooms and there are NO HOLES or cracks or such anywhere.

* The floor doesn´t turn your feet into blue lumps of ice when it´s cold outside.

I´m sooo happy!

We have been to the ultrasound and had a look at our beautiful baby. It's a gorgeous little thing in my belly and I have recently given it the nickname "Kung-Fu Child". There´s a lot of kicking going on, and so far it's just fun and amusing...

The midwife said it will come on January 31st 2007.

We'll see.

Well, have to go into resting mood for the day. Sitting up for 3 hours straight is a little tough for my sore back.

See ya´ll soon! I´ll be here all week!

Pictures from this summer will come. Until then - check out our local naked butts on Party Pictures.

August 2nd 2006

Haninge, Sweden

* The trip:

Boat ride 2 days on an expensive boat with the cheapest accomodation. Very uncomfortable.

Driving through Jylland 3 o'clock in the morning.

Another boatride for an hour (expensive but comfortable).

Driving from Gothenburg to Stockholm (5 hours in a car without air conditioning).

The day after we went up north (another 12 hours in car) to our summerhouse to meet up with my entire family.

Norrland rocks!

* Pregnancy:

I'm now in week 14. My expected date to give birth is 31st of january 2007.

According to all baby-magazines my baby-belly should be showing a tiny bit, if I'm naked, but I have already bought motherhood-pants and can't hold it it anymore. I can just say that I will be a huge, fat, walking, human bowlingball once I've reached 9 months. But I don't care. I feel great, happy and proud.

My evening-sickness have disappeared. I still have problems with some smells of the human body (I'm not going to explain) and have problems with brushing my teeth (gagging until my eyes get watery) but other then that I feel fine!!!

When me and Nenni get back to Vopnafjördur we will do another ultrasound and try and find out the sex f the baby.

I can't wait!!

* Weather:

Swedish people always talk about the weather, so here I go:

Hot, humid, hot, humid and hot! It probably doesn't reach 30 degrees, but it sure feels like it.

My thoughts are with all the pregnant women in the world who lives through the heat (pregnancy makes the body warmer)!

Over and out, time to eat.

And our travelplans have been delayed 10 hours!!

The "driver" of the boat literally bumped in to the Faroe-islands so we are extremely late. This costs money and time so I am not extremely happy now.

But the weather is wonderful (20 degrees, bright sun and NO wind) so my mood slowly lightens up.

A pretty picture of a kitten maybe helps (I'm such a softy).

Check out "The Icelandic jungle" for some... eeeh... kind of new pics of... eeeh... dogs, horses and sheep.

Exciting?

It seems like I only write when I'm going to Sweden.
Which me and Nenni will do. Tomorrow we'll take the little beamer and get on board Norræna. We will eventually end up in north of Sweden on sunday night, I hope, to have a week with the family and do all the fun stuff you do up north.
Eat, sleep, go fishing, swimming, berry-picking, eat some more and sleep some more. And to be surrounded with all the kids. Wonderful!

Other then that I have no exciting news...
I will throw out the old and take the new in.
When it comes to the pictures on my dear page. it's just too much old shit here.
I will throw in some naturepics, naked pics of Nenni, dogs (of course) and god knows what else. We will see.

Keep tuned!
I will refresh this dusty old page

I´m sorry. Don't have time with excuses.
I'm going to Sweden for 4 days now. Lucky , lucky me!

Today I had to go home from my lovely (but loud) work because my sneezing just shut off my brain.
And to work with a million happy, playing, loud, crying, wanting, not-wanting, singing, dancing children can cause a light stress when you already feel sorry for yourself.
And tomorrow night I will be driving to Egilsstadir in the snow on my summertyres! The STRESS!!! (You Icelandic people know what I'm talking about - Life is brilliant but sometimes it really sucks, ey?).

But I'm still happy to go to Sweden on wednesday and celebrate my old, old OLD dad on thursday. Will stay for about 96 hours this time.
So see ya´ll (most of you anyways) soon!

Einarsstaðir
I am sheep-farmer again! After having almost 3 weeks off suddenly I was working at six different places... working with sheep, cows, cleaning, cooking (I know!) and so on. But  I'm currently - and only-  working on a sheepfarm called Einarsstaðir.

Since I came here to Einarsstaðir the following has happened:
* Two sheep has given birth too soon and got two, freaky, dead lambs with no eyes or wool or nothing.. (I almost vomited)
* One sheep had to be shot (NOT by me... and I almost vomited)
* the tractor has broken down (NOT GUILTY)
* Somehow I bumped in to a pole with the farmers jeep, so it looks a little funny.
So my conclusion is this. I WILL NEVER BE A FARMER!
It's too much death, slime, shit, piss, sweat, tears and the f**king WORK! (My back is killing me)

2nd of May I start working at the kindergarten in town. Nobody is more happy then me. Even if I'll be working with the little ones (which most certainly will include poop and vomit) I can't wait!!

Otherwise? Weather has been BEAUTIFUL!! The sun is shining,  the breeze is only minus one degree (instead of -15) and the snow slowly disappears...
Lovely.

Well, gotta go. Hungry as a wolf and the knitting wants my attention.

I rock. Never forget.

Pictures will come in a distant future, I am a very busy woman.

I should be ASHAMED of myself. And YES, I AM!
2 months since my last confession.
Me and Nenni have moved in together (very scary and grown-up), are getting married and I'm pregnant with triplets.
Of course not, but we live together in our rented little cute house. Which I love.
We went to Sweden for 10 days over x-mas, where Nenni actually liked my whole family AND the food. So he was happy, so I was too.
Otherwise? I've started to go to the gym and actually like it. I don't like to go on the walkingboard where everybody can see my ass moving from the side, but hey, what can you do? (Maybe stop eating chocolate every day??)
My working life is rather dead. The nice men on the tax-office got me a fat load of money back, so I'm not very stressed about money. And also, I have a very cute, nice, sweet boyfriend who always takes care of me. :)
I milk every now and then and I still LOVE it.
Life is good. Cows are cool. So am I.

Will update with f***ing loads of pictures any time soon!!!
Last night we got at least 30 cm of snow, so walking back and forth with my precious camera outside is not what I like to do right this minute.

My birthday is coming up (feb 11th) so if anybody wants to send me a laptop as a gift, please do. So I never have to go outside.
Over and out - for now.
