In 1985 I was began to starting my interest in Radio controlled helis and
in 1988 I purhased my first chopper, it was an Hirobo Bell uh-1b
Iriquis, since then I have had some others helis but my passion still lies
in those old scale models like the gazelle (picture) and uh-1b.
The fashion in this hobby somekind has turned around because I
remember that in the begining of the 90s it was somehow easy to
find an old relic heli but hard to find spares, but today it is clockwise
spares are easy to find thru internet but to find a rare model maybe
also flyable is hard because rc pilots which flies scalemodels today
have realised that those old models deserves a better faith that being
put away in a dark corner in some garage, and somehow if theres
is a heli for sale the price is nearly compatible with a new scaleheli.
Another problem if it's alowed to call it so is that those pilots which
started with rc helicopters when the hobby was a kind of new in the
late 70s and beginig of the 80s many of them maybe was trying to
learn how to fly but as we all now helis at that time wasn't that
easy to fly because not many people really now how to fly them
and that did result in that they did gave up the hobby, and many of those
machines was put away in some dark corner and many of them
maybe still lies there and that makes me kind of sad because a heli
like that deserves better!
This site is dedicated to all those pilots around the world who loves to se a beatiful scalemodel flying
low,easy and with respect
